{Telling the World}

i write to tell the world that it is okay

to tell the world that they, who they are at the core of themselves, is okay, more than okay

i write to tell the world that we have been sold a lifetime of lies

to tell the world that there is much to unlearn, much to see that is new, many truths to unearth

i write to tell the world that beauty has never left, that it never will, and that it is bigger than we ever thought

to tell the world they are not who they always thought they were, that they’ve got to turn towards themselves and know that person

i write to tell the world that most of us live a lifetime moving away from our desires, we want to please an outward system

to tell the world that it needs to come back to itself, that there is a whole other world to know within that was dismissed

I write to the tell the world that they need to learn to think for themselves, that noone can define them, make them, or undo them

to tell the world that they must rise up, find their voice, and let the hearing take care of itself

i write to tell the world the creator speaks outside of the ways they were told, that he appears everywhere they weren’t looking too

to tell the world that the sacred is not just inside religious things, that it is all bigger than we once thought or felt or understood

i write to tell the world that our failings don’t define us, that our sins don’t encapsulate us

to tell the world that we must become our own best champion first, that we must open our eyes to our own beauty so that it can be shared

i write to tell the world that as beautiful as mothering is, even it does not on its own bring everything full circle

to tell the world that we each have an indescribable gift within us that only we have the means to release into the world

i write to tell the world that we all have something wonderful to say, that social hierarchies mean nothing, that each voice is hauntingly beautiful

to tell the world that the beauty matters just as much as the breakings, that when pressed into, the broken places swirl back into beauty

i write to tell the world that this is not all there is, that life is not defined by our successes or our failures

to tell the world that they will be okay, that they are okay, that they are the beauty themselves and there is more to find

I write to tell the world that it is okay, it is all okay

to tell them beauty was, beauty is, beauty awaits, that their creator was, is, and awaits
